Ondo state Governor-Elect, Rotimi Akeredolu has expressed shock that he lost the Saturday governorship election in three local government council areas in the central senatorial districts despite his developmental works in the councils.

A mild drama played out on Saturday at the Polling Unit of Mr Eyitayo Jegede, the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the Ondo State Governorship Election.

The Peoples Democratic Party candidate in today’s Ondo State governorship election, Eyitayo Jegede, has explained that his refusal to jump the queue at his polling unit was to serve as an example for the good people of the state.

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Rotimi Akeredolu, has cast his vote. He arrived at Polling Unit 6, Ward 5 at Isokub in the Ijebu Owo area of the state.

A light rain had briefly stopped voting in some parts of Akure, including Isikan, where Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Eyitayo Jegede, was waiting to vote.
