NECO’s Names Ibrahim Dantani as Registrar/CEO

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has named Professor Ibrahim Dantani Wushishi as its new Registrar and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Wushishi, whose appointment has been approved by President Muhammadu Buhari, will be the first indigenous Registrar of the examination body.

A letter, dated July 16, 2021, and signed by Education Minister Adamu Adamu said Wushishi’s appointment, which is for an initial tenure of five years, takes effect from July 12, 2021.

Until his appointment, Wushishi was a Professor of Science Education (Chemistry) at the Federal University of Technology in Minna, the Niger State capital.

He was born on April 5, 1965, and hails from Wushishi Local Government Area of the state.
